What are some good websites for personal finance assistance? | The ...

kevinngunn Says:

The first step is always to set up a working WEEKLY SPENDING PLAN. I wrote about that subject on my own personal finance blog here:

Check it out, but especially check the links to other blogs there in the right-hand column. Frugal Babe is a good choice for the person you describe and has even more links to other folks getting their financial lives in order. MOST personal finance blogs will link to other blogs as well, so just leap from one to the next until you find a few with the right style.

Meanwhile, don?t short-change the public library. For someone just getting started with personal finance, check out books by Suze Orman.

On the radio or via podcast, check out Dave Ramsey ( http://daveramsey.com ) who offers great no-nonsense advice about getting on the straight-and-narrow with regards to money.

Good luck to your friend!
