The pace of change and improvement in course selection in our Health?& Community Services Faculty continues to run hot.
A new?Certificate III in Dental Assisting, mentioned in our last edition, has now been introduced and will be particularly popular with job-seekers and those looking for a career change.
We are currently developing new courses for those wishing to qualify as assistants in the following disciplines:
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assisting (Physiotherapy)
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assisting (Nutrition & Dietetics)
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assisting (Occupational Therapy)
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assisting (Speech Pathology)
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assisting (Podiatry)
?We have commissioned experts in each of these fields to prepare the study programs and each course will be custom-designed to meet the requirements of distance learners and career-changers, something that I believe is unique to Cengage Education,? says Judith Bowler, Health & Community Services Faculty Head.
August is Judith?s last month as Faculty Head, as she is returning to her normal ?day job? as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) auditor and consultant. She will, however, continue as a member on both our Compliance and Education committees. Judith?s replacement, from 24 August, is Mandy Lacy and we will introduce her in the September issue of InformED.
